The winner of the 2008 Monteith's NZ Pub Quiz Championship is the 'Ultimate Death-Ray' team from The Drake in Freeman's Bay, Auckland.

It was a solitary point that saw our first ever winners from The Drake - with The Vargs  from the Barrell Inn in Howick second - and left rueing some crossed out answers that were in fact, correct. At the other end of the scale, the Horse & Trap's Toon Army recorded their worst ever result, a dismal last place finish, with John and co lamenting a lack of leadership!
