Eddie M'Bubu from The Exchange Hotel in Lower Hutt returned to defend the title they had won the year before. Their five point margin of victory was the greatest ever in the history of the competition, the nearest competitor being The Copper Room's Billy Bunter and Cribbages & Kings from the Kings Arms Tavern. A great performance from a very clever bunch of people. From all accounts a rowdy flight home that night!
